Buy verified, traceable biodiversity units

Purchasing verified offsite biodiversity units through our nature markets will help you meet biodiversity net gain (BNG) requirements and achieve your environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals.

What we offer

We offer biodiversity units to projects that are designed, developed and verified to meet the biodiversity net gain (BNG) requirements of local planning authorities.

We match credit requirements according to the biodiversity metric trading rules. And all our biodiversity units are traceable through our platform and the official registries.

Biodiversity units that make a local impact

Through our markets, you can buy offsite biodiversity units to suit your needs, including fractions of units. Our market takes care of matching your bid with units generated by nature-based projects from local landholders, like creating woodlands and grasslands.

Because all our nature markets are based on defined geographies, you can be sure the units you buy will fund nature-based projects that support biodiversity gain near your business or development.

Purchase biodiversity units with confidence

In collaboration with conservation experts, we support landholders to deliver high-quality nature-based projects that increase biodiversity. These include creating woodlands, grasslands and wetlands. Projects use a range of land management practices – some based on farming, others led by nature. Many projects also generate additional environmental and social benefits, such as reducing flood risk.

We work with conservation experts to certify and quantify the biodiversity gain using the statutory biodiversity metric. The Environmental Markets Board regulates our markets to ensure that they deliver genuine, lasting and additional environmental improvements, which are robustly verified and transparently documented. We hold a credit reserve to manage risk and put legal agreements in place to ensure that projects are delivered and maintained properly.
